Sponsorship and charities

Since 2020, FIQAS has been the main sponsor and ball sponsor of tennis club All Out in Aalsmeer. With over 1,300 members – including more than 200 juniors – it’s a lively and welcoming club. All Out boasts a tennis hall with four indoor courts and seven clay courts, where you can play a match during the summer season both during the day and in the evening 🎾 Over the years, plenty of FIQAS towels, caps and water bottles have been handed out at various tournaments. And alongside a trophy for the winners, the participants also receive beautiful flowers – something we absolutely love here in Aalsmeer! 🌻

As in previous years, FIQAS is proud to sponsor Ophelia Unlimited (formerly known as DownTown Ophelia). This event celebrates the talents and capabilities of people with Down’s syndrome or other intellectual disabilities. They take centre stage for the day, showing the world why they, too, deserve meaningful opportunities in the workplace. On 21 June 2025, the Ophelialaan will once again come to life with a vibrant mix of activities: a street fair, performances, workshops, games and much more. The event is organised by local shopkeepers and supported by a dedicated team of volunteers.

Copiatek promotes the circular economy by collecting decommissioned IT equipment and assessing it for reuse or sustainable recycling. As part of our CSR policy, FIQAS always aims to give old hardware a second life – so their collection week in Aalsmeer was a perfect match. Our IT & Security team gathered a wide range of items, from laptops to servers, and handed them over. Thanks to partners such as Stichting Leergeld, this equipment will be put to good use again, or carefully dismantled so that valuable materials can be recovered and reintroduced into the production cycle.

The WensenAmbulance Noord-Holland Foundation helps people who are terminally ill or living with a severe chronic illness to fulfil one last wish. This might mean being present at a wedding, or seeing the sea one final time. As the foundation beautifully puts it: “If we cannot add days to life, we add life to the days.” FIQAS has donated a wish – covering transport, guidance and care – which, thanks to the dedication of the wonderful volunteers, will no doubt become an unforgettable day.

From 2001 to 2018, FIQAS was the proud main sponsor of handball club HV Aalsmeer. And although we passed on the main sponsor role after that, the warm bond between FIQAS and HV Aalsmeer has never faded. Since last year, FIQAS is officially back at the club with a new sponsorship agreement! Our familiar FIQAS logo is once again visible on shirts and gear – and we’re proud to support the club financially as well. We’re looking forward to many more great memories with our Tigers! 🐯

Since 2015, FIQAS has been the main sponsor of teams 1 and 2 of korfball club VZOD from Kudelstaart. In addition to sporting ambitions, VZOD also stands for togetherness, fun and friendship. This is reflected in the many activities organised for members, such as disco bowling, bingo nights, music bingo and the annual youth camp. After the 2024/25 season, FIQAS will pass on the baton as main sponsor, but we are pleased to continue supporting the club financially as a regular sponsor.

Since 2018, FIQAS has been the shirt sponsor of a youth football team (JO-19) at sports club RKDES in Kudelstaart. The club aims to help everyone perform at their best in an enjoyable way and at their own level, guided by the combination of fun, passion and performance. For the new season, we once again received a great team photo – featuring both cheerful and very serious faces in ‘dangerous’ red: beware of Team FIQAS/RKDES! 😉

After 50 years, one of Europe’s largest trampoline tournaments has come to an end. This year marked the 25th and final (biennial) edition of the Aalsmeer Flower Cup. As with the previous five editions, FIQAS was proud to support this special sporting event as a sponsor. The spectacular final took place on Saturday 15 March in Sporthal De Bloemhof. Hundreds of top-level athletes from around the world competed for a place on the podium and the coveted trophies filled with flowers from – where else – Aalsmeer 🌷

Stichting SAM Aalsmeer organises and supports activities that promote the well-being of elderly people and those with disabilities in Aalsmeer and Kudelstaart. One of these activities is enjoying outdoor exercise on a duo bike, together with a volunteer. FIQAS became involved with the foundation in 2014 and has provided a parking space for one of their duo bikes in recent years. On sunny days, the key is picked up several times a week – and the enjoyment begins right away!

For the fifth time, FIQAS has made a financial contribution to Stichting DPJ (Drug Information & Prevention for Young People) to support the development of educational materials focused on prevention. Since 1988, Stichting DPJ has been providing information to over 5,000 primary and secondary schools through themed films accompanied by teaching materials. The most recent theme covers ‘designer drugs’ such as GHB and 3-MMC, with the foundation also offering guidance to parents on how to discuss the risks of (designer) drugs at home.

In October, we were approached by Mark Simoons, who had seen FIQAS at the Glazen Huis in Aalsmeer – a charity event supporting children’s farm Boerenvreugd – and decided to reach out to us for his own fundraising initiative. Mark asked if FIQAS would be willing to buy traditional Dutch doughnuts (oliebollen), made using his grandmother Coby’s authentic Aalsmeer recipe. His goal was to sell at least 5,000 oliebollen. All proceeds went to Stichting De Tijdmachine, whose ‘Gouwe Ouwe’ project uses live music and dance to combat loneliness among the elderly. A wonderful cause – and a delicious excuse for us to treat everyone at FIQAS to a generous helping of oliebollen!😋

The Aalsmeer Christian Oratorio Association (ACOV) is a mixed choir with around 60 members. On 7 February 2025, they hope to perform the oratorio Paulus by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, together with four soloists, an organist and a full orchestra. This beloved work is highly regarded among classical music enthusiasts, and the chosen venue – the Urbanus Church in Bovenkerk – offers both exceptional acoustics and a wonderfully atmospheric setting. Unfortunately, their subsidy applications have ‘fallen between the cracks’, making FIQAS’s financial support all the more valuable.
