Payment processing

To ensure that the administration of payments and the position of bank accounts align seamlessly, Abillity^® checks this automatically and actively.

And if a discrepancy in payment processing is found – for example, a missing daily statement – Abillity^® immediately reports this so it can be resolved.

Not all transactions on a bank account have a direct relationship with invoice matching. Think of (bank) costs, interest, and periodic skimming. But although they don’t have a direct relationship with the matching process, they do influence the position of the bank account. Through configuration, these types of transactions are recognized, set aside, and included in financial reporting.

All payments initiated by Abillity^® are recognisable and are fully automatically processed and linked to the correct debtor and invoice.

Thus, the invoice or payment term is immediately marked as paid once the payment is made. And in case of a reversal, Abillity^® automatically reopens the invoice or term.

Manually transferred payments are additionally processed smartly through automatic matching.

With manually transferred payments, you only have the data from the payment itself.

Through configuration, you set up patterns (‘regular expressions’) yourself to isolate relevant data – such as bank account number, invoice number, and debtor number – from the data provided with a bank transaction.

The results of this are recorded together with the original payment to then be used in smart automatic matching.
