Efficient operations
FIQAS delivers a Managed Billing Service, handling the monthly execution and monitoring of Simpel’s invoicing and credit management processes. Outsourcing these processes contributes to Simpel’s efficient operations, enabling it to offer services at highly competitive rates.
For the Managed Billing Service, FIQAS uses its in-house developed Abillity® platform. This advanced software suite was set up for Simpel in a short time within a successful Agile project. The FIQAS solution is integrated into the system landscape developed by Enrise, following a 4-tier architecture, which also includes Business Base.

- To ensure a steady revenue flow and balanced customer contact, FIQAS invoices for Simpel every working day. Risks are mitigated in various ways, including the facilitation of interim top-ups.
- The Abillity® application enables a full audit of processed usage, while online payments are validated and audited before appearing in Simpel’s bank account. Additionally, Abillity® provides a comprehensive set of financial reports and exports, feeding Simpel’s financial administration.
- The standard API in Abillity® allows for seamless integration with third-party systems and a customer-by-customer migration. This eliminates the need for risky big-bang migrations. As a result, Simpel’s migration to Abillity® was completed in a short time after a thorough preparation phase, during which the entire chain was tested with partners.
- Invoicing, collections, reminders, payment arrangements, and ad-hoc payments are now all handled within a single, uniform, and efficiently managed platform.
A fully redundant DRaaS data landscape
Simpel’s data landscape is designed with a fully redundant DRaaS (Disaster Recovery as a Service) setup. Two separate data centres are connected via a redundant fibre-optic ring. This combination of redundancy and geographical separation ensures a high-availability solution that approaches 100% uptime. With this DRaaS setup, Simpel has a solid foundation for business continuity, scalability, and growth ambitions.
