The most effective way to get paid for your product or service is through a correct, complete and legally valid invoice.

Data sources
Invoices are always created based on source data. This data can consist of products, billable subscription portions (with potential adjustments) and – where applicable – usage-based transactions of provided services, such as call traffic, travel or (person) hours.
If you use the Abillity® Rating module, its output seamlessly becomes your invoicing input. Additional or alternative data streams can also be flawlessly incorporated as input for the invoicing process.
Flexibility in invoicing
The question is: ‘Who needs to receive which invoice?’ Whether you operate in B2B or B2C markets, or provide single or multiple services, Abillity® gives you complete control.
For large customer bases, you can manage invoice distribution to prevent call centre peaks. Choose to combine multiple service streams into one invoice (convergence) or keep them separate. While account hierarchies are standard in business services, this feature is now gaining traction in consumer markets too.
Abillity®‘s configurable platform lets you manage your entire invoicing process with full flexibility, exactly how you need it.
Invoice discounts and commitments
Customers always seek the best price. For high-volume or B2B customers, this often results in pricing agreements with additional guarantees, like period revenue or guaranteed volume over time.
Abillity® quickly tests such agreements. If customers miss agreed guarantees, consequences – often surcharges – are automatically calculated and applied. Conversely, customers automatically receive invoice discounts based on invoice results and totals.
Correct VAT
Without VAT, there’s no invoice. VAT is essential to invoicing. Each product or service has its own VAT rate, and customer type matters – consumers expect VAT-inclusive prices, while businesses don’t. Foreign customers sometimes handle VAT themselves, or you might need to charge their country’s VAT depending on service type.
Abillity® ensures correct VAT calculation on every invoice.
Complete and accurate invoices
Payment requires complete, accurate invoices. Nearly correct invoices create negative customer experiences, requiring credit notes and new invoices – especially problematic with high volumes.
Abillity®‘s smart data structure links each invoicing element (including customer data snapshots) to its invoice. This ensures 100% explicable invoices with correct data. You maintain full process control, can create invoices, review results through smart overviews, and easily reverse runs if needed. Only mark runs as final when satisfied with results.
Revenue Reporting
Finalised invoices generate revenue for financial system reporting. Since every organisation divides revenue differently, Abillity® offers extensive options. Each invoice element can be categorised by financial group and period, with deferral options.
