An invoice is a point of contact with your customer and the starting point of successful debt collection.

Creating invoices
Clear presentation is the key to success
A clear invoice is the biggest success factor in getting paid for your delivered products and services. By composing an invoice intelligently, you ensure that a customer can see at a glance how the invoice amount was determined. For example, by working with a cover page – showing grouped items – followed by a specification for further details. A good invoice prevents questions and ensures faster payment.
With Abillity®, you have all the flexibility to easily create clear invoices. FIQAS has years of experience with the do’s & don’ts, and we’re happy to help you create the best invoice layout.
Laws and Regulations (legally valid, VAT returns, and retention period)
Invoices and their related processes are bound by laws and regulations. The Tax Authority prescribes what requirements an invoice must meet, in more and more countries it’s becoming mandatory to declare VAT before distributing an invoice, invoices must have an identifier, and you have to deal with a retention requirement of 7-10 years.
The Abillity® platform ensures that every invoice always contains all required elements. When applicable, the system first reports the invoice to the relevant authorities, so identifiers are immediately included on the invoice. The storage of invoices is also properly arranged as standard within Abillity®.
Payment link, QR code, and Direct Debit
The credit management department aims to get invoices paid as quickly as possible. Or to indicate that a customer shouldn’t transfer payment themselves if, for example, there’s an automatic direct debit in place. If you also use the Credit Management module of Abillity®, you can easily add payment links, QR codes, and direct debit notifications to your invoices.
E-invoicing
Paper invoices are increasingly becoming an exception. Organizations have solutions where receiving e-invoices is preferred. Governments are now required to offer e-invoices. It won’t be long before this becomes the new standard for the business market as well.
Within Abillity®, we can generate invoices in all common formats. Paper, PDF, HTML, and the generic e-invoicing format ‘UBL’. We adapt to your needs.
