With self-billing, PostNL Extra@Home determines the compensation for each specialist based on delivery assignments and completed work. This process requires a precise and controlled approach. That’s why PostNL Extra@Home has chosen Abillity®, the FIQAS platform that automates complex order-to-cash processes.

Online shopping and home delivery have become an integral part of everyday life. A standard parcel—such as a new dress or a pair of trendy trainers—is delivered effortlessly. But what about large and heavy orders, such as a washing machine that needs installation or a bicycle that requires adjustment upon delivery? That’s where PostNL Extra@Home comes in. This specialist service not only delivers these items but also provides additional at-home services.

Self-billing: efficient and transparent

To offer customers the best possible experience, PostNL Extra@Home engages external specialists, depending on the assignment. These specialists deserve accurate and timely compensation. Instead of requiring them to submit invoices each month, PostNL Extra@Home has opted for a more efficient solution: self-billing.

Dynamic compensation calculation

The compensation calculation considers various parameters, including the type of transport, the number of kilometres travelled, the number of people involved in the delivery, the time of delivery, the duration of the work, and other relevant factors. All these elements are processed within Abillity® to generate an accurate specialist compensation.

Streamlined process with full control

Every order is received, verified, and linked to the correct specialist within Abillity®. All pricing agreements and relevant components are applied automatically. Through a user-friendly interface, PostNL employees have full control over the process: they can manage and monitor it, handle exceptions, and easily administer pricing agreements. Once all data has been processed, the orders are forwarded to PostNL’s central financial administration, ensuring each specialist receives the correct compensation.

By implementing self-billing, PostNL Extra@Home has significantly simplified its compensation process. The result: greater efficiency, transparency, and smoother collaboration with specialists.
